Who we are
The University of Maryland and The University of Connecticut are applying our collective knowledge in order to examine how racism shapes healthy behaviors and health outcomes, especially cancer, within Black communities.
We are a team of researchers whose expertise includes public health, cancer research, urban health, health equity, digital health, and health communication. Dr. Cheryl Knott and Dr. Debarchana (Debs) Ghosh co-lead this project in collaboration with community members and leaders, faculty, staff, students, and community members.
